A clinic's star rating is a useful starting point, but the number of reviews matters just as much. A 5.0 rating from 4 reviews is far less reliable than a 4.7 from 800 reviews. That's why we rank clinics using a Bayesian rating, which blends the score with the volume of reviews for a fairer comparison.
When reading reviews, look for recurring themes rather than one-off complaints: comments about wait times, gentleness, clarity on pricing, and cleanliness are more telling than isolated experiences. Recent reviews reflect the current team better than years-old ones.
Be mindful that no clinic pleases everyone. A few critical reviews among many positive ones is normal and can even be reassuring — it suggests the reviews are genuine.
